Young, dynamic, full of verve and raw energy, Vishal Goud is a new-age politician who believes in value-based work. Born in a family steeped in active politics for over six decades, he took to social activism and service to reach out to the uncared and the marginalized. It is this conscientious activism that took him to the shores of the value-based politics and made him follow the footsteps of his illustrious father.
But not for him were the dynamics of dynastic politics. He could have preferred a ready-made perch and a pedestal in politics. He could have trodden the beaten path. But Vishal Goud chose the road less traveled. He charted out a new course of values, principles and time-tested beliefs of service.
He was born on September 23, 1980, the day when the then Hon’ble President Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy promulgated the National Security Act. His father ‘Tiger’ Kuna Pratap Goud at that time was caught in the vortex of a political tumult. His loved leader late Indira Gandhi had just won a stupendous victory from Medak Lok Sabha constituency and went on to become the prime minister for the third time. Those indeed were heady times.
Politics came naturally for young Vishal. Politicians and political activists used to flock to his father. Animated political debates pervaded the drawing room of his home. High and the mighty confabulated and came up with key political decisions after threadbare discussions. Young Vishal was witness to all this tumult.
